David Archuleta joined BYU Vocal Point to create a beautiful new music video perfect for any Easter celebration. “What a Beautiful Name,” originally performed by Hillsong Worship, may not be a song many Latter-day Saints are familiar with, but with its Christ-centered lyrics and powerful vocals, this performance could easily become a family favorite.
Soon after the video went live on YouTube on March 26, 2021, Archuleta commented and said, “Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of this!!! I absolutely loved it.”
While watching the video, it is easy to sense the joy Archuleta and the members of Vocal Point feel as they testify together of Jesus Christ.
“This video has such a powerful message that we hope will ring throughout the world as part of our own testimony of Christ,” BYU Vocal Point posted on their Facebook page.
These lyrics near the end of the video are particularly powerful during the Easter season: “Death could not hold You / the veil tore before You / You silenced the boast, of sin and grave / The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory / For You are raised to life again.”
