Thirteen-year-old Evie Clair wowed judges with her recent performance of "Wings" by Birdy in the America's Got Talent quarter finals. But despite earning a standing ovation and rendering the judges "speechless," Evie still had to face the elimination round.

From his hospital bed, Evie's father, Amos Abplanalp, watched as his daughter fell into the bottom three. Unable to make it to his daughter's first live performance because of his battle with stage 4 colon cancer, Amos waited to see if his daughter would receive the Dunkin' Save.

Evie, who credited her father for the reason she tried out for the show, needed the most votes from viewers to be the only one of the bottom three to move on to the show's semi-finals.

After a few tense minutes, Evie Clair's name was called.

"Thank you all so much," Evie said after hearing she would move on to the next round. "I love you, daddy!”

Watch Amos's touching response to his daughter moving forward in the competition and Evie's incredible performance below.
