Watch: ‘Your voice as a woman matters’—President Bingham on unity and progress in the Church

In a new video from Church News, Relief Society General President Jean B. Bingham highlights the importance of collaboration when it comes to accomplishing the Lord’s work. She starts by calling attention to the influence of women in councils and decision-making in the Church.

She states, “Wherever you are in the Church, your voice as a woman matters.”

President Bingham also cites the introduction of ministering in 2018, the Come, Follow Me curriculum in 2019, and the Children and Youth program in 2020 as examples of the Lord preparing His children for the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Looking back . . . the Lord prepared all of us for the time of the pandemic when we couldn’t get together in our churches [and] when we had to support one another in families and at home,” she says.

President Bingham concludes by emphasizing unity between men and women in the Church as being the path toward progress.

“Women can't do it alone; men can't do it alone. When we work together unitedly, we can accomplish the Lord’s work in spectacular fashion.”
