Pacific: Cyclone-Damaged School Is Repaired in Time for ClassesCyclone Evan blew through Samoa last December decimating homes, schools and other community structures.

With little hope of receiving government funding soon to fix a school in the village of Safaatoa, the local chiefs decided they had to raise money. The village mayor went to the three local churches for help in organizing rebuilding projects to make sure the school was ready for the students. The three participating faiths were the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Assembly of God.
