First Presidency Announces Groundbreaking for 2nd Temple in Colombia

With 17 temples currently operating in South America, two under construction, and another two announced in addition to the Barranquilla Colombia Temple, the work of the Lord is definitely moving forward on this wonderful continent.

The First Presidency of the Church announced December 7 that groundbreaking services for the Barranquilla Colombia Temple will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016.

Elder Juan A. Uceda of the Area Presidency will preside at the ceremony, which traditionally involves turning over shovels of dirt to signal the beginning of construction.
