How to Use Gospel Topics as a One-Stop Shop for Scriptures, Stories, Talks, and Videos

by | Dec. 16, 2019

Lesson Helps

When it comes to personal study, lesson preparation, or writing talks on a given subject, the Gospel Topics section allows users to quickly access an abundance of resources on any given topic.

The Gospel Topics section on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and the Topics section of the Gospel Library app offer resources to study over 250 topics, according to Church News.

So how does it work? Here's a step by step process to help you navigate and get the most out of the app.

1. Go into the Gospel Library App and select the "Topics" section.

2. Click on "Gospel Topics" and select a topic such as "Ministering."

3. Under "Ministering" and other similar topics, you can find an overview of the subject, scripture references, messages from Church leaders, videos from Church leaders, articles from Church magazines, image quotes, and more.

Not only are the resources listed, but the resources and topics are frequently updated with the latest content from the Church.

“We are actively updating existing topics and will add new topics each month,” Katrina Cannon, Gospel Topics editor, told Church News. “All updates to existing topics and all new topics are approved by General Authorities.”

Recently, new topics were added to the Gospel Topic library including Church Councils, Family Councils, Ministering and Plan of Salvation.
