Six Important Ways to Avoid Sin

I just finished reading a talk by Jairo Mazzagardi called “Avoiding The Trap Of Sin”. It’s a good one. Here are some really important things I took from it. All quotes, unless cited otherwise, are from Elder Mazzagardi in that talk.

1. Sin will creep up on us whenever we let our guard down.

I’ve heard Satan described as an octopus, because if he can’t get us with one tentacle, he’ll try numerous others.

2. We need to be aiming for exact obedience in all things.

“What may appear to be of little importance, such as going to bed late, not praying for a day, skipping fasting, or breaking the Sabbath…will make us lose sensitivity little by little, allowing us to do worse things.”
