Watch: The Scripture That Helped This LDS Woman Overcome Thoughts of Suicide, Showed God's Love for Her

We don't always recognize when someone is struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide. Sometimes, we may even think the opposite: that everything seems to be going their way.

In this LDS Living video, McKenzie shares her honest struggle with depression, which led her to contemplate suicide. But no one would have thought that. She seemed normal, happy, even, from the outside. 

"Being called a happy person all the time kind of reflects on who you are as a person, because then you're like, 'Well, I can't be sad because everyone assumes that I'm happy,'" McKenzie shares. "It was hard to admit that this happy person who had everything together and everything was perfect in their lives was struggling with something."
