A conversation guide about why prophets matter today

At the end of Prophets See around Corners, Sheri Dew shares,

“Following the Lord’s prophets makes us smarter because seers see things we cannot yet see. Prophets help us see around corners.

You can know this too. If you will seek with “real intent, having faith in Christ,” you will come to know for yourself that the Lord’s prophets lead us today. And that knowledge will literally change your life.”

The following conversation guide is meant to help internalize this literal, life-changing knowledge about prophets that Sheri Dew talks about. This guide is broken up into four sections so you can have conversations about prophets over a few days with your loved ones. For instance, conversations could happen over dinner, before or after family prayer, or in addition to Come Follow Me study. The guide could also be completed all in one sitting for those with longer attention spans and a little more time.

Prophets See around Corners

Author Sheri Dew has had the unique opportunity to be in the presence of prophets, seers, and revelators hundreds of times, if not thousands. In Prophets See around Corners, she shares her firsthand witness that these inspired men are indeed called of God, and that they have the ability to help us in ways no other leader or influencer can. As she explains, “There is a crucial difference between prophets, seers, and revelators, and the rest of us; They have priesthood keys that allow them to see things we do not yet see and understand things we do not yet understand.” This is why prophets have a singular capacity to prepare us for life’s unexpected turns. This is how they can see around corners. As we study and follow the counsel of prophets, the trajectory of each of our lives will change. We will be protected from deception and prepared for all that lies ahead.
