Chris Pratt Shares Christian Faith, Bible Verse in Viral Instagram Post at Children's Hospital

Editor's note: Though Chris Pratt was seen more than 10 years ago wearing a BYU shirt, we are not claiming he is Mormon with the publication of this article. We simply want to celebrate the way this celebrity publically shares his Christian beliefs and the good that comes from it.

Chris Pratt made a special visit to the Great Ormond Street children's hospital last Tuesday, quoting the Bible in an Instagram post he shared about his experience.

Pratt and actress Bryce Dallas Howard took a break from filming the sequel to Jurassic World to spend some time with the children at the hospital while in London. Both actors shared a picture of Elle, an 11-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis recovering from a recent lung transplant, according to eonline.com

In his post with Elle, Pratt quoted Psalm 107: 8–9: "Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men! For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good."

Bryce and I had the tremendous pleasure of spending some time with our new buddy Elle and a few other patients at Great Ormand Street Children's Hospital in London. I'll never fail to be moved by the unbreakable spirit of a child. #godisgood Psalm 107:8-9 Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men! For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good. 🙏🙌👆♥️ No doubt. Today my longing and hungry soul is filled.

And this is not the first time Pratt has shared his faith so publically.

Pratt, who is a non-denominational Christian, told PEOPLE in 2014 his faith was "redefined" when his son, Jack, was born nine weeks premature in August 2012.

“It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it,” the actor told PEOPLE about the time his son spent in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). “The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect.”

Since that time, Pratt has made has more than a few appearances to children's hospitals, sometimes along with other stars like Captain America star Chris Evans.

And though it may be unusual for a celebrity to share their faith so publically, Pratt often shares Bible verses and bits of his beliefs with his social media posts, like he did a month ago before the release of his latest movie.

Psalm 126:3 "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Thank you to the many, many people who empowered me to follow my dreams.

It's certainly inspiring to see someone so publically recognized willing to share their belief in God in simple, but impactful ways.
