The First Presidency has called the following seven new temple presidents and matrons:
Paris France Temple
Gérard Séraphin Gilbert Giraud-Carrier, 72, Grenoble Ward, Lyon France Stake, called as president of the new Paris France Temple. President Giraud-Carrier’s wife, Annie Marie Louise Reveyron Giraud-Carrier, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a ward clerk. He has served as president of the Madagascar Mascarene Islands Mission, second counselor in the Bern Switzerland Temple presidency, stake president, bishop, patriarch, regional representative, and temple sealer. Retired operations and maintenance area manager for the Church, he was born in Revel, Isere, France, to Séraphin Aimé Marcel Giraud-Carrier and Yvonne Maria Amodru.
Sister Giraud-Carrier serves as an institute teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the Madagascar Mascarene Islands Mission. She has also served as assistant to the matron at the Bern Switzerland Temple, stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary president, stake Family History consultant, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Chambery, Savoie, France, to Charles Reveyron and Marguerite Marie Péroline Péclier.
Sapporo Japan Temple
Bin Kikuchi, 67, Shinoro Ward, Asahikawa Japan Stake, called as president of the new Sapporo Japan Temple. President Kikuchi’s wife, Hiroko Kanesaki Kikuchi, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a temple sealer and temple ordinance worker. He has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Japan Tokyo North Mission, stake president, branch president, and high councilor. President of U & I Japan, he was born in Sawada, Japan, to Mitsuo and Honma Tazuko Kikuchi.
Sister Kikuchi serves as a Relief Society compassionate service worker and temple ordinance worker. She served with her husband as he presided over the Japan Tokyo North Mission, and has also served as stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, and ward missionary. She was born in Ohashinai Muroran City, Hokkaido, Japan, to Kikuo and Kodama Tomiyo Kanesaki.
