The new Ghana Missionary Training Center (MTC) is now complete and the Church released photos showing the first look inside as members in Ghana prepare for the public open house which begins August 12 and runs through October 24.
Among those who have already toured the new MTC are nobility and government leaders, including Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo Nene Sakite II, Chief of the La Traditional Council Nii Kpobi III, Chief Director for the Ministry of the Interior Adelaide Anno-Kumi, and Mayor of Accra Adjei Sowah.
Nene Sakite II, the Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo, said, according to Mormon Newsroom, “When you get young men and women coming around here, for the teachings, . . . by the time they leave here, their experience will be certainly good, because of the environment.”
Mayor Adjei Sowah added, “The architecture, the landscaping, the organization—everything is done orderly. And once you walk in, you know that you walked into a very disciplined and spiritually filled place that will guide you throughout your tour."
Elder Dale G. Renlund and his wife, Ruth, also toured the new MTC built next to the temple grounds in Accra, replacing the original MTC built in 2002.

“I think as the missionaries come here, the things that they learn, they will take with them forever. Wherever their homes are, they will go and build the Church, always with this great foundation of what they learned here at the MTC,” said Sister Ruth Renlund, according to Mormon Newsroom.
“As we walked through the halls and went into the classrooms, we sense already a real profound spirit that comes from those that have planned and built it,” said Elder Renlund, according to Mormon Newsroom. “It will be a phenomenal place for missionaries to learn about the Savior and to learn how to share His gospel.”
