For over a month now, the general public has been able to step inside the Washington D.C. Temple for the first time in almost 50 years. The public open house for the newly renovated temple began on April 28, and politicians, dignitaries, Latter-day Saints, friends of the faith, tourists, and curious local residents have all had a chance to visit. The Deseret News reported that as of Tuesday, more than 250,000 people had toured the temple—with more than 26,000 guests visiting over Memorial Day weekend.
