The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking to build the state's first Mormon temple in Farmington. The 24,000-square-foot building would be located on an 11-acre lot on Farmington Avenue near Winding Trails, according to Town Planner Jeff Ollendorf. The site, owned by Peter Fishman of PKT Development, houses the former Whitman Restaurant, which has been converted into 12,000 square feet of office space.
