Nish Weiseth is a faithful Christian and an author. She is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but until recently, she lived in an area highly populated by members of the Church, including Latter-day Saint author Emily Belle Freeman. The two became friends, and soon Weiseth began doing things that may have seemed odd from the outside looking in, such as watching every session of general conference and earning her Young Women medallion. Weiseth and Freeman recently sat down with All In podcast host Morgan Jones to discuss their unique friendship and their desire to learn more about each other’s respective faiths.

Deseret Book recently conducted a scholarship competition for aspiring, new LDS artists. The money was raised from prominent LDS artists auctioning off custom pieces of artwork. These artists included Annie Henrie, Del Parson, J. Kirk Richards, James Christensen, and Liz Lemon Swindle. From thirty applicants, they chose four winners and three honorable mentions. Each of the four winners received $3,000 towards their education in their chosen art medium. These are definitely some artists to watch for in the upcoming months!

General conference has a lot of great messages, so it can sometimes feel overwhelming. How do you know where to start in applying what you’ve learned?
While attending the Church of England’s signature Christmas service, Elder Holland shared a message about the hope and comfort Christ's birth brought him after his father passed away on Christmas.
Sister Elaine Dalton, general Young Women president, recently published a book entitled A Return to Virtue. I'm working as her publicist right now and am thrilled to get to interact with her on a somewhat regular basis.
“This is a wonderful partnership,” Elder Ronald A. Rasband, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, said of his personal involvement in Boy Scouts of America. “I am a product of this [BSA] of an earlier day in my life with Boy Scout Troop 95.” He said his Scoutmasters and his mother helped him get through the Scouting ranks.
