The numerous Mormon Temples vary wildly in terms of design, size, occupancy, and originality. For the purposes of this list, any temple – dedicated, announced, under construction – is fair game, including Mormon temples before the succession crisis that might not be in Church hands anymore, but not “Mormon” temples that were built later on by splinter groups (e.g. Kirtland is in play, but the Community of Christ’s temple in Independence is out).
The Kawamitsu family got their start in stardom performing martial arts throughout the United States. But when the Kawamitsus moved back to Japan, siblings Aiki, Kanasa, Akino, and Akashi quickly discovered their love for singing and dancing, something their parents shared.
Heber C. Kimball, then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, found himself in circumstances where he sought hospitality from a member of the Church, a widow woman. Rojas, 32, was charged in September with failure to report child abuse, a class B misdemeanor, but Monday he accepted a plea in abeyance agreement with prosecutors. The agreement requires Rojas to obey all laws for six months, after which he can file a motion to have his charge dismissed.
For various reasons the Mormon Church has become established in some people’s thinking as the knee-jerk monster mind-melder whenever Mormons run for office.
As I watched the German countryside bump slowly past my train window, I had the unsettling sense that I was being watched — and that the watcher was my sister. “What?” I asked, peering over the head of the baby in my lap. My sister hesitated, her pale, freckled cheeks flushing carnation pink.
A year ago, Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles issued a challenge to attendees of the 2014 RootsTech conference: “Prepare as many names for the temple as baptisms you perform in the temple.”
