Christmas is over—did everyone get what they were hoping for? Well, there is one more gift to open. We are told in the introduction to the Book of Mormon that it was given by the “gift and power of God.” Our gift for all of 2024 is the Book of Mormon, and we will accept and unwrap that gift as we spend all year anticipating Jesus.

Editor's Note: The original title of this article, "Is Saying Adam and Eve Were 'Cast Out' Scriptural?" misrepresented the author's intent in focusing on the biblical accounts of the story of Eve and Adam. While the excerpt was accurate, the podcast guest intended to focus on ancient scripture. While the words "cast out" do not appear in the Bible or in the Pearl of Great Price, the words "cast out" are used in Doctrine and Covenants 29:41 which reads, "Wherefore, I, the Lord God, caused that he should be cast out from the Garden of Eden."

To help us dive deeper into this topic, we invited Chad and Kymberly Wells to talk with us. The Wells' are the parents of Mason Wells, who was severely injured as a missionary in the 2016 Brussels attacks. Their perspective on those harrowing events is anchored in trusting the Lord even through days of great distress and heartache. Their story, along with these chapters in Psalms, will teach us what trust in the Lord can do in our darkest moments.

The Provo Tabernacle, a historical landmark to the local Saints and those throughout the world, was ablaze. Soon, the entire interior of the building was reduced to nothing but ash as it's charred, skeletal walls stood in sections.
