Kendra grew up in Salt Lake City, and after a semester at Ricks College, she volunteered to teach English in Russia through a program called ILP. After serving a mission in Utica, NY, an experience that deepened her love for service and teaching, she married her best friend and supported him in his military service while raising 5 children. Driven to continue her education, she completed her bachelor’s degree through Pathways during the challenges of COVID, embodying her belief in lifelong learning and resilience.

Sherrie is a mother of nine daughters and one son and yes, he is the tenth child. She taught in the Ancient Scripture department at BYU for 15 years where she learned so much from her peers and students! Then she served a CES mission in Christchurch, New Zealand, and a Church History mission in Salt Lake City. A highlight of her life was being in the Hill Cumorah Pageant for two years. Since Sherrie was five years old, she's been writing books and has published 18 to date. She also enjoys riding a yellow e-trike, reading, and playing the piano.
