You know when you get a letter in the mail that you’ve been looking forward to? There’s something exciting about discovering what’s inside, knowing you are reading words that are meant just for you. Well today, we’re going to begin our 17-week study of the letters, or epistles, from the Apostles—and we’re going to focus first on Paul. We’ll start by discussing Romans 1–6 and find that though these letters may not have been written directly to us, we can still look forward to learning many things from them today.
The following shares excerpts from a message President Thomas S. Monson shared in general conference shortly after the death of his wife, Frances Monson. What a powerful testimony of the role of God in our lives:

This is one of those times when, as a woman in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, you realize you are standing on the shoulders of other remarkable, dynamic, visionary, faith-filled women like the late Ardeth G. You’re invited to Lift Up Your Heart, a Magnify Gathering. And for today's episode, we’ve gathered a few of our speakers from this event.
God’s power can help us to lead out, solve problems, nurture humanity, and strengthen relationships. One way we can access His power is in temple worship. In fact, President Nelson promised us this in his most recent General Conference address: “Every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ will find Him in the temple. You will find His mercy. You will find answers to your most vexing questions. You will better comprehend the joy of His gospel.” And as women of faith, this is what we want! More Jesus in our lives. Because with Him, all things are possible.
