“Her Majesty was very gracious and very welcoming and respectful to the Church. She is an impressive woman who cares deeply for the people of Tonga," Elder Hallstrom said after he, his wife, Elder and Sister Renlund, and Elder and Sister Haleck visited with Their Royal Majesties Queen Nanasipau’u, Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala and his wife Princess Sinaitakala Tukuʻaho, and Prince Ata. Every year the J. Reuben Clark Law Society holds a fireside at the LDS Conference Center in late January. The event is broadcast around the world via the church’s satellite system, and also streamed live over the Internet. At these annual firesides, the law society bestows its Distinguished Service Award upon a high-profile figure from legal and/or LDS circles. Recent recipients include President James E. Faust, formerly of the LDS Church's First Presidency; President Boyd K. Packer, of the Quorum of the Twelve; and retired Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor. The honoree, in turn, delivers a prepared speech to the law society.

For me, I call it good when my visiting teachers come over and sit at the kitchen counter while I cook Sunday dinner and we chat about work, kids, school, and life. Sometimes they share a quick message, sometimes they don't, but I always feel loved. It's funny, on the Sundays they come over, the whole family gathers in the kitchen to be involved because the informality of it makes it fun.
