The question the Spirit whispered to my heart is changing my approach to daily devotion.

Most of the women we see at the Utah Wellness Institute want to lose weight. Sometimes it’s what I call “vanity weight”. Other times it’s over a hundred pounds. It doesn’t really matter the amount. Of course we’ll run some blood tests to see if their thyroid has a problem (most of the time it does—which obviously slows down their metabolism) or to see if their other hormones might be causing fat-storing issues. We can generally treat those things successfully with bio-identical hormones. But that’s not the biggest battle we face with these overweight women (and men, of course).
I believe reading this book will help missionaries have a better mission experience, which will ultimately impact the rest of their lives.

“They don’t make ‘em like they used to!” I hear it all the time. Fact is, they do. A bevy of uplifting, inspiring films has recently hit theaters–—with more on the way. If I may be so bold to repeat the words of our late President Hinckley: “When there is a good movie in town, consider going to the theater as a family. Your very patronage will give encouragement to those who wish to produce this type of entertainment” (“In Opposition to Evil,” Ensign, September 2004).
So much of life can be chalked up to “coincidence”, but I recently had an experience that can’t be explained by any other way than the fact that Heavenly Father is in charge, has prepared a way for me, and knows all.
