In the very back of the Doctrine and Covenants you will find Official Declaration 1 and Official Declaration 2. Todays discussion will talk about what a declaration means and how they set the pattern for continuing revelation. As the ninth Article of Faith says: "We believe that [God] will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

How to Care of Each Other Like Jesus Would

As a Magnify community, we read "Personal Ministry: Sacred and Precious" by Bonnie D. Parkin, former Relief Society General President. In it she challenges each of us to identify our personal ministry and live each day finding opportunities to care for others as the Savior would.

Proclamations of the Church

There have been six official proclamations in the 195 year history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and this year is the 30th anniversary of The Family: A Proclamation to the World. On today's episode we are talking with church historians about all six, what they meant for the saints at the time, and what it means when there is a proclamation issued. And even though some are almost 100 years old we will ask what eternal truths can be learned from their words.

Christmas: Asking Again

We made it to the end of the year studying the Doctrine and Covenants, a book of questions and answers. At the beginning of 2025 we set out to A.S.K. Recognizing How We Walk in Step with Jesus

Today we’re looking toward Jesus and His example, how He spoke and shared truth when He was on the earth, what we can do to model after Him, and how two women in scripture can help inspire us to be bold in our discipleship. As we take covenant steps to follow Him, we learn to recognize that He is always alongside us.

Inspired by Eve's Courageous Example, Choice, and Leadership

As daughters of Eve, we each carry an innate heritage of leadership, and courage. We also learn from today's guest that part of Eve's legacy is the important role of being a shepherd, like our Savior. When we follow Eve’s example, we are women who nurture trust in our homes, communities, and in our relationships with God. Having a deeper understanding and appreciation of Eve helps us better understand ourselves as daughters of God, each of us like Eve with a unique and vital role to play in His kingdom.

Drawing Power and Strength from the Scriptures

Creating a healthy relationship with scripture study moves it beyond the checklist to something we treasure and draw strength from. Being in the scriptures with the intent to receive personal revelation empowers us and emboldens our faith. When we seek guidance in scripture, we can receive inspiration to comfort and guide family members in the moment they need it, share our faith more boldly, and speak with confidence. And we fear the things of the world less because we learn even more deeply that God is in every story.

Genesis 5; Moses 6 (Jan 26-Feb 1)

Enoch was a prophet, he taught what was good. Music is important in developing and sharing testimonies. Today as we study the story of Enoch and his walk with God in Genesis 5 and Moses 6 we will do it through music. Hopefully these songs can bring you close to your Heavenly Father and bring to life the stories of the scriptures.

Genesis 1–2; Moses 2–3; Abraham 4–5 (Jan 12–18)

The first two chapters of Genesis, Abraham, and Moses contain different versions of the creation story. What can we learn from each and why would we need multiple perspectives? This week we are studying the weighty topic of the creation, a topic about which Russell M. Nelson once called members to “stretch our minds” to consider. And that’s exactly what we will do.

Intro to the Old Testament (Dec 29–Jan 4)

The Old Testament can be read as a study manual to prepare for the Atonement of Christ. Jesus is everywhere to be found in the Old Testament narrative especially when you read with a keen eye to the original Hebrew. To start our Come, Follow Me study this year we are looking at how translations can give us more insight to covenants and our relationship with Christ.
