Paris is not a Mormon and plays a non-Mormon teenager while Kaley is not a Mormon and plays a Mormon teenager in the upcoming film, Once I Was a Beehive (in theaters August 14th). On the other hand, I’m a self-described “super Mormon-y Mom” who plays a super Mormon-y woman in the film. But even though we come from different backgrounds, we all learned something from coming together to make a movie. And we’re all excited about sharing it with the world.

Robert Millet

Robert L. Millet is Professor Emeritus of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University. In 1983, following the receipt of his PhD in Religious Studies from Florida State University, he joined the BYU Religious Education faculty. He has served as Chair of the department of Ancient Scripture, Dean of Religious Education, and Richard L. Evans Professor of Religious Understanding. He is the author or editor of many books, articles, and book chapters, dealing mostly with the doctrine and history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its relationship to other faiths. He and his wife Shauna have six children and twelve grandchildren and reside in Orem, Utah.

Jen Pua VanHaaften

Jen, who also goes by her Hawaiian name, Pua, grew up the oldest of 5 girls in the beautiful town of Laie, HI. The foundation of her testimony was built there by her amazing parents, beautifully strong sisters, and the extraordinarily faithful people of her village. She is married to her best friend and is the proud mama of 4 sons and 2 daughters-in-love. She has been an educator for over 30 years and is currently a middle school librarian. She loves books, travel, Harry Potter, Oreos, Diet Coke, her tribe of sister-friends and words. And above all, she loves her God and her Jesus.

Valeria Coles is an ambitious young adult with big dreams and bold plans for her future. Through her young adult years, she has learned to have faith in the Lord and trust that He will place her where she is needed most. She is currently pursuing a communications degree at Brigham Young University–Idaho, hoping to combine her education with her dream of working with humanitarian nonprofits to bring healing and health to God’s children.

The Latter-day Saints in Brussels are making an impact as they do their part to help in the refugee crisis. Major Mike Stannett, leader of the Salvation Army in Belgium, took notice of their efforts and came together with these Saints to collect the care packages they created for refugees. "It's great that people of faith can work together in partnership for the need of other people," Stannett observes.
