He is married to the former Cheri Watson and they are the parents of four children, and now have seven grandchildren. He has been a Seminary teacher, principal, curriculum writer, or Institute instructor for 35 years in various locations in the Salt Lake Valley. He currently teaches institute at Ensign College. Some of his hobbies include reading, hiking, fishing, studying Church History, visiting historical sites, and playing “hide and seek” with his grandchildren.

Emily attended Brigham Young University to study sociology while beginning a career in customer service. After establishing her career as a customer service manager, and one really bad sunburn, Emily met her husband Matthew in a Dayton, Ohio singles ward. One magical date with dinner and a 'Beatles' concert, and life has never been the same since! Emily, Matthew, their two boys and rambunctious shih tzu recently settled in Utah and patiently await the day when they can be reunited with their daughter in Heaven.
Andrea Erickson Lindsey received her master's degree in Religious Education from BYU. She was a full-time Professional Religious Educator for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until the birth of her son. She has presented at Education week, S&I Area Meetings, EFY, the Church History Symposium, S&I Research Conference, Single-Adult Events, and has been a volunteer Institute teacher for several years. It was considered one of the biggest snubs of the Women’s World Cup in 2023. Ashley Hatch has been around the United States Women’s National Team since 2016, and even played in multiple games for the national team in 2023. And yet, when the roster for the Women’s World Cup team was released, Ashley’s name wasn’t on it. The tough thing is that, like many disappointments in life, Ashley doesn’t really have an answer for why it didn’t work out the way she’d hoped. She does, however, recognize that she has the power to choose how she responds to that disappointment.
Savannah Wooden was in high school when, after years of struggling with seizures, she made the difficult decision to have brain surgery that, if successful, would cure her seizures. The surgery was, by that measure, very successful, but in the years since, Savannah has struggled with the byproducts of the surgery. Even then, she can see that the power of the priesthood invited healing into her life that otherwise may not have been possible.
