To give you a little bit of insight into my personal experiences, I almost got married last year. Unfortunately, my fiancé called the wedding just days before, leaving me wondering how I’d cope. I did. And you can read about that story here. I have no negative thoughts or opinions of him now, because I know his character well enough to be able to still think highly of him. The following are my own opinions and thoughts, from my participation in and later observation of the situation.

“My mom said to me, ‘Jesus Christ is always stronger than any darkness.’”

There is an email being forwarded around that claims that there is a baptismal font deep inside the Basilica of St. Paul that was used for the purposes of baptism for the dead. Here is the text of the original email: This photo was taken by Kevin Barton, grandson of Keith Barton, a Stake Patriarch, when Kevin was on his mission to Italy in 2001. These pictures were taken in Rome at St. Paul’s Cathedral which is centuries old. Kevin found a chained off area of the Cathedral, which he shouldn’t have entered but did, and discovered this old unused, I’m sure for hundreds of years, baptismal font with a mosaic inscription above it indicating it was used for baptisms for the dead.. There are probably more old Cathedrals in Italy (If they haven’t been remodeled) that still have these closed off fonts that were used centuries ago.. I wonder why they stopped ? This is truly profound and amazing.

When you feel pressure to make perfect choices, remember that our missteps can teach us about ourselves and strengthen our faith in Christ.

In response to the letter "Mormonism and Christianity," I thought the freedom to practice our beliefs was one of the major reasons we are here in the United States. Isn't that one of the main reasons our soldiers are fighting -- to keep that right and freedom for us? If not, someone needs to explain to some families why their father, brother, mother, sister, son or daughter dies for no reason.

NEW BEDFORD — Five hundred miles from home, and on his first assignment as a Mormon missionary, Elder Andre Marques and his fellow companion began knocking on doors in New Hampshire's Merrimack County. "We met this guy and asked him if he would like to hear more about Jesus Christ?" recalled Marques. "He started swearing at us and said, 'Don't ever come back or I'll kill you!"

Family life is hectic. Most of us play it by ear and hope it works out well.

I don’t think it’s insignificant that Mormons do not have religious holidays, even Christmas and Easter are drawn from western Christian traditions; and thus are usually celebrated by Mormons when the rest of Christendom celebrates them according to the region of the world they are in at the time of those holidays. For instance, Easter in Russia is celebrated by Mormons according to the Orthodox calendar, while Easter in Italy is celebrated by Mormons on the date accorded by Catholic tradition.
