Highly religious couples—those who attend church and worship regularly at home—also report greater relationship satisfaction, sexual satisfaction, and a sense of spousal commitment, kindness, forgiveness, and joint decision-making.
Understand that we are mere mortal “babysitters” who can appeal directly to the real Parent. There is no more effectual and answer-deserving prayer than this: “Father, help me to understand and to do what is best for this, thy child.”
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released this statement on Hurricane Florence:
“You may have times when you wonder if your call is beyond you,” President Henry B. Eyring told recently called mission leaders. “You may even ask, ‘Is this too much for me?’ I have had such moments often in my service in the Lord’s kingdom. And I have learned how important it is to banish those moments quickly. If you let them linger, they grow, and then your power to serve diminishes."
During a May 2013 Arizona vacation, Madeleine Martineau took seriously ill and found herself in the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, 5,000-plus miles from her native France and her London home. Diagnosed with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia, the 16-year-old spent seven months undergoing chemotherapy, clinical trials and treatments. With a weakened body and auto-immune system, she escaped the sterile hospital room by spending her hours … her days … her weeks … reading, watching TV and movies and surfing the Web.
