Statistics tell stories, and this is something that Mormons know well. While many demographic indicators speak to the social health of Mormon culture, there are some that do not.
A man died after being struck by a FrontRunner train Friday morning at the intersection of 700 West and 600 South. About 7:30 a.m., Douglas Crow, a BYU custodian, was riding his bicycle when he was hit by the train. Provo Police Lt. Mathew Siufanua said a woman driving an Escalade was trying to make a left-hand turn onto 700 West from 600 South. She did not see Crow and bumped him off his bike and onto the train tracks.

Monson announced in October’s Church general conference that, effective immediately, men can serve at the age of 18 and women at the age of 19; and effective immediately, as he was saying it, the plans of thousands of young adults changed. Representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said there are almost 600 future missionaries starting their applications every day.
