Carina Westbye lives in Drammen Norway and is a 4th generation member of the Church. When she Is not cooking at the psychiatric unit where she runs the kitchen, she likes to go on hikes, explore new trails, or read a good book. She loves being an aunt and is blessed to be an important part of the lives of my nieces and nephews. She loves amusement parks, roller coasters, and a good pizza at home. She treasures knowing that she is a daughter of heavenly parents and loved by Jesus. He is her light, hope, and peace.
Grant Stucki lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and 6 kids. He loves going on hikes with his family in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. When he's not doing oral surgery, he can often be found going to Denver Nuggets games, teaching seminary, or doing yard work with his kids. He loved his time in dental school at UCLA where he met his wife and made lifelong friends. Living in Chicago for oral surgery residency was a tough, yet rewarding experience. If there's a favorite pastime Grant has while driving to work each day, it's learning from audiobooks. Despite loving the mountains, if given the chance for vacation, Grant almost always choses lounging on the beach in Florida.
Bret and JeaNette Smith served as mission president and companion of the Santo Domingo East Mission in the Dominican Republic from 2017 to 2020. They spent 32 months witnessing miracles that had nothing to do with the COVID-19 virus. They retired from their careers—Bret as a general manager at United Technologies and JeaNette as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist—to serve their mission. Bret is currently serving as a bishop of the San Jose Spanish-speaking ward in Jacksonville, Florida. Jeanette is the author of Side by Side: Supporting a Spouse in Church Service, which she wrote the first time Bret served as a bishop. She is currently working on a novel about missionaries in the Dominican Republic. Bret and JeaNette are the parents of four married children and 12 grandchildren.
Nassari Alvarez Everett is a 2nd generation Latter-day Saint, a lover of ice cream (especially la Michoacana), mother of three incredible sons and die-hard fan of all things Jane Austen. She enjoys directing the Dia de los Muertos celebration at Thanksgiving Point to help encourage her community of all ethnicities to connect with their ancestors and preserve their family history. She resides in Pleasant Grove, Utah with her husband Kent.
Toni Ragsdale was born in Chicago, Illinois. Most of her childhood was unpleasant, and she grew up in poverty. She has three biological children and also raised her sister's children when she became ill and passed away. She works full-time as Manager of the Customer Service Dept for Insure-Rite, State of Utah Insurance Verification Department. Toni is married to one of God's most fabulous creations, Rev. Jay Ragsdale. She and her husband are the founders of the Fill the Pot Ministry. The organization started in Pioneer Park 15 years ago with a captivated audience of 4 people; today, they feed an average of 421 people a week within our community. Toni has served on several community boards and projects. She Loves serving in the kingdom of God. She served many years at Calvary Baptist Church, where she grew, worshipped, and implemented and co-directed the Mentorship program for young women called G.R.A.C.E. She was the Director of the Women Ministry and Children's Church for nine years. Toni enjoys Partnering with other community organizations of all faiths, encouraging sisterhood, and mentoring women. In April 2019, she received the Humans Rights award by the Church Women United Organization. She has spoken at several women's events and events for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. She has started a Women's Ministry called TINT, which welcomes all faiths and builds a stronger relationship with Christ. She considers herself a sister-soldier, with a reputation of love and integrity, understanding, servant, and excellent leadership. She values growth, self-reflecting, and honesty. Her passion for God is non-negotiable; her love for her family is without measure; her love for her friends and community is without question. She thrives from waking up and, another day, a new opportunity to be used by God.
