TJ and Dixie Orton have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of three teenagers. She didn’t understand the scriptures when she was younger, and that experience has become her superpower in helping others truly fall in love with them. She's happiest in the mountains with her family, staying up late and losing at board games. She's the founder of The Red Headed Hostess, where she creates gospel learning tools that feel doable and deeply meaningful. She believes the Lord always makes a way—and that walking with Him leads to more than we ever imagined.
Shauna grew up in Illinois as the second of eight children and now enjoys spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She has taught Seminary and Institute for 28 years in Arizona, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and at BYU–Idaho. She currently serves as the coordinator for Seminaries and Institutes in Boston, Massachusetts. Shauna earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Physics from Brigham Young University, followed by a master’s degree in Religious Education, also from BYU. She completed her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University.
Andrea Erickson Lindsey received her master's degree in Religious Education from BYU. She was a full-time Professional Religious Educator for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until the birth of her son. She has presented at Education week, S&I Area Meetings, EFY, the Church History Symposium, S&I Research Conference, Single-Adult Events, and has been a volunteer Institute teacher for several years. She is the author of God's Plan, Book 1 of the True Doctrine Series, which was awarded best seller status on Amazon. James Goldberg is a poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, and occasional literary translator. He is the recipient of the Orson F. Whitney Outstanding Achievement Award from Storymakers and has won Association for Mormon Letters awards in Drama, Novel, and Creative Nonfiction. By day, he writes for the Church History Department.
Shawn Hunt has worked for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion for 30 years as a teacher, coordinator, pre-service trainer, and administrator. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Southern Utah University and a master’s in education from Weber State. He and his wife Mandy are the parents of five children. Shawn enjoys travel, family celebrations, and music. He is a self-proclaimed Christmas fanatic.
Brian Warburton is a historian in the Church History Department where he works on the Public History Team. He has degrees in history from Brigham Young University and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He loves making history accessible and approachable to the general public. Some recent examples of projects Brian has helped make accessible to the public are a forensic study of John Taylor’s pocket watch and returning the Hummer Bell (formerly misidentified as the Nauvoo Bell) to the First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City. Brian loves sports, nature, gardening, animals, and spending time with his two daughters and wonderful wife, Jill Warburton.
Maddy is a content producer for LDS Living. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Journalism and Communications. In her free time, you’ll find her attempting to master the perfect chocolate chip cookie, taking a long walk to power through her podcast queue, or defending her status as a Diet Coke critic.
Erik grew up in Idaho and served in the Belgium / Netherlands mission. He is currently a student of Biblical Hebrew at BYU who loves Jesus Christ.
