Historic Utah Mormon Church Reopens After Two-year Restoration

The smell of freshly varnished oak pews filled the chapel of Ogden’s historic LDS Fourth Ward. As light streamed through the building’s Italian-made stained-glass windows, workers scrambled to wrap up a two-year remodeling and seismic upgrade at one of northern Utah’s most historic churches in time for an open house Saturday and a rededication Sunday.

Director of Humanitarian Services Says "This Is a Woman’s Church," Gets Standing Ovation

Sharon Eubank, the director of Humanitarian Services and LDS Charities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, received a standing ovation on 8 August during a speech titled “This Is a Woman’s Church” during the 2014 FairMormon Conference in Provo, Utah. Eubank’s remarks addressed recent press reports that allege “the Church is sort of oppressive, or that it’s stodgily conservative, or that it might somehow be a toxic environment for women to participate in.”

But for some people, every day is like climbing another mountain. Finding the cause of chronic exhaustion is much like doing detective work. I like to break the potential causes down into three general categories: lifestyle, physical, and emotional.
