What happens when an eternal marriage doesn't end up lasting for eternity? Like many children in the Church, Scott Sonnenberg grew up singing “I Love to See the Temple,” and “Families Can Be Together Forever.” That treasured ideal was shattered shortly after Scott returned home from his mission and his parents went through a divorce. He promised himself at the time that divorce would never ravage his own marriage—but, as he explains on this week’s podcast, that is exactly what happened. On this week's episode, Sonnenberg shares how he's navigated being a member of the Church when a forever family seems out of reach, and how the Atonement has given him hope through his trial.
Have you had moments where you poured out your heart to God again and again and felt met with silence from heaven? When President Nelson told us that in the coming days we’ll need the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost, Emily Robison Adams took his counsel to heart. But while seeking to understand how God speaks to her through prayer, Emily didn't get any answers and, in her words, “God felt gone.” Through struggle, study, and with time, Emily came to understand that sometimes when we think heaven is silent, God is with us in a space of communion that she calls Divine Quiet.

Tennisa grew up in the Salt Lake City area the daughter of a single mother, from whom she learned perseverance, independence, and to love fiercely. She was baptized at age 8 1/2 but didn't become active in church until her junior high friends invited her to attend seminary. There she grew a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and started her faith journey. One of her most joy-filled days was when she and her mother received their temple endowments together on her 21st birthday in the Atlanta, GA temple. Tennisa attended Ricks College and the University of Utah where she earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting. She has recently returned to higher education to pursue an MBA at Western Governors University. Out of college, she began working as a Senior Accountant at Deseret Book Company in January of 2000 where she still works today as the Director of Product Management. She loves her career and thrives in learning, but the role that brings Tennisa the most pride and joy is her role as a wife to Lantz for 26 years, and mom to the amazing and talented Saley, Grant, Bella, Hazel, and the dog, Bentley. Together they love to dance in the kitchen, blast music and sing during chores, travel, play games, attend each other's games and performances, and raft the Snake River near Jackson Hole, WY.
She competed on two of the most popular dance television shows of all time. She taught a rodeo cowboy, a rapper, a “Bachelor,” and Michael Bolton how to dance with millions watching. But on this week’s episode of “All In,” Chelsie Hightower discusses the anxiety she faced when the cameras stopped rolling.

In this episode, the three close friends sit down together to share their thoughts of what makes a prophet, and how Joseph is like—or not like—other prophets.

The prophet Jacob in the Book of Mormon felt the weight of his calling, and the pains of his people. He uses a word that many of us can relate to today in describing his state of mind—anxiety. In reading Jacob 1–4 we’ll see if we can find out what is causing Jacob’s anxiety, how we can relate, and the advice he has for everyone who has felt like he has.
The Doctrine & Covenants is full of people with questions, and God giving answers with truth. And one of the eternal truths that we see the most is that God loves His children. In fact that is the first line in the Restoration Proclamation that was read in General Conference by President Nelson. To start our study of church history and the D&C we have five scholars to discuss their thoughts on that landmark proclamation.
