Expensive, 8-hour bus rides to the temple. Making do with different resources. Attending church meetings on Fridays. While the doctrine of the gospel does not change around the globe, the way Saints in different parts of the world experience and live the gospel can change dramatically. Take a peek inside the lives of four member families who have learned that there are many ways to live the gospel around the world.

As we sustained two new apostles this conference weekend, we were able to hear their powerful testimonies of the Savior. Their witnesses flooded our hearts with the Spirit, helping us remember our relationship with our Heavenly Father and our conviction to do His will.

There’s a moment in Back to the Future where Doc Brown explains to Marty McFly that the DeLorean time machine can take them anywhere, anytime, including the ability to “witness the birth of Christ.” That line of dialogue always stayed with me. What would it be like to stand and see the life of Jesus, the places He taught, and the miracles He performed? Some movies have done a decent job recreating it, but nothing actually makes you feel like you’re there. Until now.

The heavens filled with streaming light, angelic visitors appearing at critical moments, divine beings stripping away the veil between us and the celestial in the most dramatic fashion—who wouldn't want a conversion story like Paul?

This may sound familiar. It’s a Monday afternoon. Your teenager just walked in the door with a freight-train size chip on her shoulder because, apparently, “no one in the entire universe” likes her. Somehow this is your fault.

God spoke to the great prophets of the Old Testament in some rather unique ways, most of them deeply visual. Ezekiel had wonderful visions that would grasp his hearers’ imagination, causing them to pay attention and think profoundly. In one of those visions he saw a great valley of dry bones bleaching in the sun. Visualize that scene with me for just a moment. Before us is a wide valley, filled with bones as far as the eye can see in every direction. A great army or a mighty people have all died, and their bones lie exposed to the weather. Ezekiel stands “in the midst of the valley,” when the Lord enters the scene and causes Ezekiel “to pass by [the bones] round about . . . and, lo, they were very dry” (Ezekiel 37:1–2). After Ezekiel makes a circuit of the valley, the Lord addresses His prophet with a question: “Son of man, can these bones live?”
