After nearly 40 years of teaching religion, Robert Millet still had some questions regarding the Holy Ghost. For example, how does our doctrine regarding the Holy Ghost differentiate The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from other religions? Or what does the right to constant companionship of the Spirit really look like? It was this curiosity that led him to begin researching and eventually writing his latest book, “The Holy Spirit." On today’s episode, he shares the unique insights he found along the way.

Professor James Charlesworth, of Princeton Theological Seminary, spoke in Provo and Logan last week. A major figure for decades in the study of Judaism and Christianity around the time of Jesus, Charlesworth is also a longtime friend (and, in some cases, a mentor and former teacher) of several members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He’s visited and spoken in Utah on several prior occasions, and he’ll host a significant academic conference at BYU’s Jerusalem Center in August.
Good parenting, as James E. Faust said, “Is the greatest challenge in the world.”[I] Because we know that families are eternal and central to God’s plan for us, we understand the great importance of doing our best to be good parents. It can be daunting as we try to raise righteous children in a world where evil is all around us. With all the hustle and bustle in our lives today, it can be very easy to get distracted and lose focus on our most important priority, which is the family. Here are four parenting mistakes to avoid as you strive to protect and strengthen your family.
Every year the J. Reuben Clark Law Society holds a fireside at the LDS Conference Center in late January. The event is broadcast around the world via the church’s satellite system, and also streamed live over the Internet. At these annual firesides, the law society bestows its Distinguished Service Award upon a high-profile figure from legal and/or LDS circles. Recent recipients include President James E. Faust, formerly of the LDS Church's First Presidency; President Boyd K. Packer, of the Quorum of the Twelve; and retired Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor. The honoree, in turn, delivers a prepared speech to the law society.
"'Freedom4All' means that everybody deserves to be free, especially children regardless of where they live," O.U.R. founder and CEO Tim Ballard said. "Help us be a voice to the voiceless."
In January 1910, Lady Constance Lytton was arrested after participating in a demonstration in London to secure voting rights for women. Knowing she would receive privileged treatment as an aristocrat and be quickly released, she told officials she was Jane Wharton, a London seamstress. Because officials perceived her to be a working-class woman, she was sentenced to 14 days in jail, treated brutally and force-fed eight times. When authorities discovered her true identity, she was immediately released and apologies made. How an individual is perceived has much to do with how others respond to them and ultimately how they are treated. Throughout history, varying interpretations of the biblical account of Adam and Eve have led to certain perceptions that have had enormous impact on women’s lives. It is worth exploring The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' interpretation of the biblical account. (All scriptures are from the King James version of the Bible published by the LDS Church.)
The revelation in D&C 76, which we often call The Vision, seems to be a series of six visions. They are:
Those were just a few of the powerful quotes from LDS prophets and apostles shared by The Huffington Post in a Father's Day article that then shared this powerful video created by the Church:
