One of the greatest principles the Church teaches us is to be more self-reliant, which includes increasing our education in all areas of life.
I discovered that we all dread a similar situation. When we find ourselves at the teenager’s table instead of with our married younger siblings because that might make the adult table uneven. When we hover at the edges of family photos, without someone else to balance us out. When we are with family, at ward and stake gatherings, or even just with married friends, inevitably the conversation will turn to spouses, children, homes and family concerns and upon realizing that we have little to add to these discussions, it is only a matter of time before someone asks us one of The Questions.
Some wonder whether certain beliefs and practices in the Mormon Church help its members inordinately contribute entrepreneurship, innovation and management to the economy. Things like honesty and respect for others and their property are taught and practiced in most churches. A few other principles, however - though they can be followed by anyone and are not uniquely “Mormon” beliefs per se - might be followed more consistently in our church than in some others. Officials with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have released a rendering showing Meridian's future LDS temple. A non-affiliated LDS church website published the image earlier this week. According to LDSChurchTemples.com it will be the fifth temple built in Idaho.
