Susan (SusieQ) Hernández was born and raised in Southern California and has lived in Las Cruces, NM for the past 15 years. She loves to travel with her best friend and kitty in their RV, and they're working on visiting all 49 states; will fly to Hawaii. Just 13 states to go! Susie served a mission in the far away land of the Arizona Tucson Mission, and loved the people of the southwest! Susie is an elementary school counselor and enjoys teaching kinder to 5th graders all about social emotional learning. Her next travel destination (not in the RV) is Israel with three of her best friends. Irene Caso

Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Irene came to the United States after her mission. She had a successful career in television and broadcasting, and in 2017, Irene was hired as a Church spokesperson in Salt Lake City. From balancing demanding careers, to being wives and mothers, to seeking personal inspiration, Irene shares her thoughts on just how amazing the women of the Church are today. Insights that have come while traveling the world with Church leaders have strengthened Irene’s desire to be a better disciple of the Lord.

We know that everything happens for a reason, and the scriptures tell us that “all things work together for good.” But sometimes that isn’t a comfort to hear when we’re in the thick of it. But ever since we heard BYU Professor Ellen Knell share that accepting the struggle will ultimately bring sweetness and maning to our lives, her ideas have been on our mind. She gave a BYU address called “Look for the Light” and we wanted to amplify this faithful woman’s voice.

Mindi was born and raised an Air Force Brat, spending her childhood and youth traveling the world; her formative years spent living in Germany. She served a mission for the Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where she fell in love with the people of the South. She spent over 15 years working in Marketing and Advertising, before becoming a mom, a food blogger, a regular on Studio 5, and running her own business. Five years ago the spirit prompted her to completely change course and become a Seminary teacher. She now teaches at Thunder Ridge High School in Ammon, Idaho. She loves teaching the gospel, but more especially loves spending her days with the amazing youth of the church. She is married to Arnold Thiebaud, who works at BYUI. She has two daughters, Reese 16 and Anniston 14, and two dogs, Rocky and Sky.
