Two Apostles visited five European countries this September—addressing members and missionaries, creating stakes in two major cities, holding an area review, presiding at a seminar for 32 European mission presidents and their wives, meeting with government and faith leaders, and checking on the status of temples under construction in Rome and Paris.
There is much debate on whether Joseph Smith—the man who founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often known as the Mormon Church—was truly a prophet called of God, but one of his prophecies has undoubtedly come to pass. The woman, however, explained she did not have a ward representative. She was Buddhist and had learned about the Church magazines when a friend who was a member of the Church gifted a subscription to her.

Let me make it perfectly clear from the onset: You do not need to visit the Sacred Grove to have a rock solid testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith any more than you need to visit Gethsemane to have a testimony of the Savior’s Atonement. Both of these witnesses can come whenever, and wherever you may be, if you seek this knowledge with real intent.
LDS.org is getting a new look in a release scheduled for early February, the first in a series of improvements meant to make the official Church website more personalized and easy to use.
