Though President Thomas S. Monson did not announce any new temples at general conference, 2015 has been a busy year for temple building in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The year will end with at least:
— Four groundbreakings: Church leaders broke ground on new temples — the Star Valley Wyoming and Cedar City Utah temples — earlier this year. They have scheduled groundbreakings for two more on Oct. 17 in Tucson, Arizona, and Concepción, Chile.
— Three newly announced temples: At the April general conference, President Monson announced three new temples to be built in Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and Bangkok, Thailand.
