This video of a new temple getting an angel Moroni statue may make your day

The angel Moroni statue stands firm and triumphant on top of many temples. As a symbol of the Restoration, the statue has been a source of inspiration for Latter-day Saints around the world. In this special video, watch the angel Moroni on its way up to the top of the Richmond Virginia Temple, which is currently under construction.

The video was shared on April 13 on a Facebook page dedicated to providing news and updates about the Richmond Virginia Temple. The temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson in the April 2018 general conference, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 11, 2020. Construction is estimated to be completed in late 2022. This will be the first temple in the state of Virginia, which is home to nearly 100,000 members of the Church.

In the Facebook post, viewers expressed their excitement and gratitude to see the angel Moroni placed on the temple.

“I feel peaceful and hopeful when I see the angel Moroni! This was wonderful to watch!” wrote Sharon Manookin. Another commenter, Sheila Blight, wrote, “I was holding my breath!”

Also on the Facebook page is a video of the steeple being put into place before the angel Moroni statue was put atop of it. The video description explains, “One very fortunate member of the Chesterfield Stake happened to stop by the temple to check on its progress at the same time they were putting up the steeple and he took a video to share with us.”
