Filipino artists, including "Asia's Nightingale" Lani Misalucha, received a standing ovation by President Donald Trump at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) gala.
The gala celebrated the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN and displayed the best of Filipino talent, including LDS singer Misalucha.
Known for her ability to sing across a variety of genres including pop, rock, jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, and operatic arias, Misalucha was dubbed "Asia's Nightingale" by MTV Southeast Asia.
For the gala, Misalucha sang in the third number called "Jubilare" alongside other renowned artists including David Ezra, Darren Espanto, Elha Nympha, Sam Shoaf, Jona, and Jed Madela, according to CNN Philippines.
Besides a standing ovation, President Trump also praised the "tremendous talent" of the artists at the gala.
"I thought last night's event was fantastic, tremendous talent. Most of them I guess from the Philippines. But tremendous talent. Musical talent, dance talent and we really had a tremendous time, all of the leaders," Trump said, according to m.philstar.com.

At least 1,500 guests attended the event held in Pasay, Philippians, including ASEAN heads of state, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, and President Trump, according to CNN Philippines.
