7-year-old sings the national anthem at BYU basketball game—and she’s too cute for words

Seven-year-old Lucy Llewellyn performed a stunning rendition of the national anthem to kick off Brigham Young University’s men’s basketball game against Kansas State at the Marriott Center on February 10, 2024.

Referred to as “[undoubtedly] our cutest anthem singer of the year” by the official BYU Athletics Instagram account, Lucy is no stranger to singing at large sporting events. Her YouTube channel features performances at games for the Salt Lake Stars and Maple Mountain High School.

She has also performed in ward talent shows, Orem’s Got Talent, Spanish Fork’s Got Talent, Fiesta Days Got Talent, the Salem Pageant, and a wedding.

Lucy was a fan favorite at the BYU game, with one person commenting on Instagram, “Literally stunning!” Another added, “I love this so much! Way to go, Lucy!!”
