Though the Latter-day Saint community at Yale may be small in numbers, it is strong in faith even amid a pandemic, according to student Caroleine James.
Yale Daily News, the oldest college daily newspaper in the United States, recently shared how the pandemic has affected the Yale Latter-day Saint community, detailing how worship services have changed.
“I wasn’t expecting to miss it that much,” student Chunie Johnson told Yale Daily News. “I’m used to having my Sundays be a pick-me-up and so, feeling a little more down than usual, I think, was something I noticed.”
Students also shared with the newspaper how the pandemic has affected social activities, missions, and their faith.

“Being isolated like that does make you kind of turn inward,” student Liz McGuire told Yale Daily News. “And it forces you to examine . . . what does your faith actually mean to you.”
