Soccer Player Turns Down Spot on National Team to Serve a Mission: "The Greatest Decision I've Ever Made"

Kevin Kansan is from Papua New Guinea, but he is currently living in Hamilton, New Zealand, teaching people about their heavenly heritage and the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

But, very few of the New Zealanders who hear Elder Kansan's message realize all that he gave up to be where he is now, knocking on doors and tracting day in and day out. He passed on the chance to play on the Papua New Guinean national soccer team and compete in the South Pacific Games, which were held earlier this year.

However, Elder Kansan does not consider it a missed opportunity or hardship, saying, "I believe this to be one of the greatest decisions I've ever made."
