The Most-Sung Conference Hymn and 3 More Fun Music Facts (+Poll)

Conference is around the corner—and so's the chance to listen to the Tabernacle Choir and sing some of our favorite songs. Which hymns might we hear or sing this year? Turns out that some are more popular than others! Check out what we found by combing through the last 21 years of hymns sung in general conference:

Other fun stats:

- More than 190 different songs (including some non-hymns and several combinations of hymn and Primary medleys) have been sung in the various conference sessions since 1998. (For reference, there are 341 hymns in the current hymnal.)

- More than 70 different choir groups have performed in general conference since 1998, including various stake choirs and choirs from schools like BYU, BYU-Idaho, and various institute choirs. This number includes each time choirs from the same location have performed (some have come back multiple times).

- Our readers' favorite hymn, I Know that My Redeemer Lives, has been sung 11 times in the past 21 years of conference meetings, including at one General Young Women Meeting (in 2011).
