We all feel inadequate. Pres. Freeman teaches what Christ would have us do next

Checking accounts are a basic need for many people. However, I’ve talked with some who feel like these accounts are outdated and don’t reflect the way modern banking is done. The reality is that today’s checking accounts—or digital transaction accounts—offer so much more than just checks.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will build a new temple in Ephraim, Utah, and restore the historic, pioneer-era Manti Temple beginning about Oct. 1, President Russell M. Nelson announced in a video message Saturday to church members in central Utah.

The final step of the Church’s Addiction Recovery Program states, “Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, share this message with others and practice these principles in all you do.” On this week’s All In podcast, Keith and Brooke Meyer shared their story. Keith came into the Church in part due to his participation in the Addiction Recovery Program. The program changed his life and for 11 years following his participation in the Addiction Recovery Program, Keith remained sober. But last year, amidst the pandemic, Keith began to experience depression. That depression ultimately led to a feeling of despair. The despair led him to return to a bottle that he knew had taken pain away, albeit temporarily, earlier in his life. And he drank.

The Friday session of BYU’s Women Conference began with a Sister to Sister event. Host Irene Caso was joined by Sister Sharon Eubank of the Relief Society General Presidency, Sister Michelle Craig of the Young Women General Presidency, and Sister Susan H. Porter, who was called to the Primary General Presidency during the April 2021 general conference.
