Church Postpones Face to Face Event with President Nelson

On lds.org, the Church announced the Face to Face event with President Russell M. Nelson and his wife, Wendy Watson Nelson, will be postponed until later in 2018. This change is "due to the recent passing of President Thomas S. Monson," according to the recently updated event page.

The hour-long event was initially announced at the end of last year, with President and Sister Nelson detailing it would be different from most Face to Face events. “Sister Nelson and I are delighted to participate in this upcoming Face to Face event,”President Nelson said in December. “Our joy is multiplied by the fact that this particular event will be a family affair: several grandchildren and great-grandchildren here in Salt Lake City, and several great-nieces and great-nephews via satellite from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, will be with us.

“Of course, we are all family. We are brothers and sisters, children of our Heavenly Parents. We feel the certainty of that truth every time we meet you in the Philippines, or Germany, or Russia, or in the more than 100 other nations to which we have traveled. So, we hope that each one of you, wherever you may live, will feel warmly welcome in our extended family gathering.”

Many questions have already been submitted by Church members for this event, and details about whether President Nelson's family will still be joining him and the date of the Face to Face are still forthcoming. Submit a question or check for new details at lds.org/broadcasts/face-to-face/nelson.
