Never-before-published discourses and diaries from Presidents Eliza R. Snow and Emmeline B. Wells now available

The Church Historian’s Press announced the online publication of additional materials that shed light on the lives and contributions of Eliza R. Snow and Emmeline B. Wells, two previous Relief Society General Presidents of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The discourses and diaries are available to the public for free at churchhistorianspress.org.

These never-before-published transcripts illuminate the thoughts, teachings, and activities of two of the most celebrated women in Latter-day Saint history. Readers will discover Eliza R. Snow traveling and preaching throughout Utah Territory as she organizes ward and stake Relief Societies. Readers will also find Emmeline B. Wells writing and advocating for women, including organizing the Utah Territorial Woman Suffrage Association.

The Eliza R. Snow website and Emmeline B. Wells website will continue to release discourses and diaries several times each year. Interested scholars, researchers, and others can sign up for the Church Historian’s Press newsletter to be notified of each future release.
