After arriving in St. George this weekend, President Holland visited his wife’s grave for the first time since her burial. He and Sister Holland were married in the St. George Temple in 1963.
Filling a vacancy left in the quorum after the death of President M. Russell Ballard, Elder Kearon, 62, was ordained by President Russell M. Nelson and the other members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Stakes in the US and Canada previously needed to have 3,000 members, and those outside these two countries needed 1,900. A new Church policy standardizes those requirements.
