The Washington D.C. Temple public open house starts today. Here’s how to get tickets

Latter-day Saints living in and around the US capitol city have waited nearly four years and are finally able to participate in the Washington D.C. Temple’s public open house.

This will be the first time since 1974 that the Washington D.C. Temple will be open to the public. The public open house begins today, April 28, 2022 and tickets are currently available at www.dctemple.org through June 11, 2022. Visitors are also encouraged to make a reservation for either parking or a metro shuttle ticket here.

In an interview with Fox 5 D.C., the Church’s open house cochairs Kent and Kathryn Colton commented on this exciting upcoming event.

“We’re so thrilled to welcome everyone into the temple, to come and see and to feel the spirit of the temple,” Sister Colton shared. “On each floor you’ll be able to see a different purpose for the temple, and we invite you all to come and learn … the purpose for our sacred building.”

The public open house begins today, April 28, 2022 and tickets are currently available through June 11, 2022. Visitors are also encouraged to make a reservation for either parking or a metro shuttle ticket at www.dctemple.org.
