LDS Cellist Sarah Arnesen teamed up with pianist Monica Scott and soloist Miranda Seminario of One Voice Children's Choir to create a gorgeous rendition of "In the Bleak Midwinter." On her YouTube channel, Arnesen shared the special story of how she grew to love the song:
"When I was a little girl my mom had me memorize a verse from this song as one of our weekly poem memorizations: 'What can I give Him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb. If I were a wiseman, I would do my part. Yet, what I can I give Him, give Him my heart.' . . .
"When serving a full-time mission in the Ohio Cleveland Mission one day in December, my companion, Sister Nelson, and I were knocking on doors in the snow. . . . We sang as we walked between houses and it kept us warm.
"I love the idea of giving our hearts to the Savior. I like to picture myself as a member of the nativity, a wiseman, a shepherd, or an angel. I hope that I would have been a part of rejoicing at Christ’s birth. Today I rejoice by giving Him my heart.
