From the Church

Here are the 2021 Light the World daily service calendars, including a new one just for kids

As in years past, the Church’s 2021 Light the World campaign once again features a daily service calendar filled with inspiring and motivating ways to serve family, friends, and neighbors this Christmas season.

Some of the daily topics are new to 2021, including,

“Recipe for Rejoicing”
Jesus connected with others over shared meals. Learn how to make a traditional Christmas recipe from a particular part of the world. Then share it with friends or family.

“Shining Star”
Dedicate the start on your tree to someone who was a light in your life this year. Take a picture and post it on social media along with a message about how that person has influenced you.

“Showtime”
Jesus had an amazing way of making others feel included. Find a Christmas concert, play, or other event in your area, and invite someone to attend with you.

And new for 2021, a daily Light the World service calendar has been created just for children, with ideas like saying thank you, praying for others, talking to someone who is lonely, drawing pictures or making cards, and reading the scriptures.

Each day on the service calendar corresponds with a number on a second page—a color-by-numbers Nativity scene.

General Primary President Camille N. Johnson shared her excitement for the children’s service calendar on her Facebook page.
